Paint & Decorating
Douglas Curving, Owner & General Manager
John Lister, Operations Manager
Douglas Curving started in the paint business following graduation from college
in 1989. He worked for a large national company's store division, eventually
becoming manager of a store in the Greater Boston area. In 1997, after contact
with representatives of Benjamin Moore Paints, Doug proposed the idea of opening
what is now Westboro Paint. "This market area had a void, since there
was no one here to sell Benjamin Moore Paints," says Doug.
John Lister has been working in paint sales for more than twenty years. His
experience spans several organizations and different paint brands. He has
spent the past 8+ years selling primarily Benjamin Moore's products. "It
was always tough to sell against Benjamin Moore, so I realized that I'd be
better off on the side of the best product," says John. John has a keen
eye for color and a talent for custom mixing. His quick wit and engaging personality
are sure to make your paint shopping experience a memorable one.
The Decorating Center at Westborough
Cynthia Dorval, Interior Design Consultant
Cara Girard, Color Consultant
Before joining our decorating team in March 2004, Cindy was in-home custom
decorator for a major national retailer, servicing hundreds of customers
over the past three years. Cindy's credentials include a certificate in Interior
Design from Becker College. She can work with you to coordinate your home
decor, including custom window treatments, paint colors, and wallpaper selections.
Cindy can also determine the best floor plan for your furniture arrangement.
When asked how she views her role as a designer, Cindy responded, "I see
myself as a guide, assisting the customer to make good design decisions that
they feel comfortable with and that will withstand the test of time."
Cara has been a part of the staff at The Decorating Center since October 2003. She has been actively involved in decorative painting both personally and professionally for over 15 years. Cara has a true talent for seeing and envisioning color, along with a creative flair for turning ideas into reality. For the past five years, she has had her own faux painting business, where she has perfected her craft, while implementing color & faux design ideas for clients throughout Central Massachusetts. Cara is not a 'decorator' who pushes her ideas on you, but instead helps you dispel your 'fears' and make your home a reflection of yourself.
